I simply could not take my eyes off this gorgeous display while we were eating. Afterwards, I walked over and got my camera-fill of the lovliness. Why ruin it with mere words! (but DO biggify it, because the sight was utterly wondrous)
As you see, the trail goes on, through the lupine, between the trees, and further into the wilderness. Another river crossing was just beyond this scene.
